Megalia (Pre-Classic)
Megalia – A 2D Tile-Based Sandbox of Endless Creativity
Step into Megalia, a 2D side-scrolling, tile-based sandbox game where your imagination shapes the world. In this pre-classic version, players have the tools to design, build, and play their own unique maps, crafting challenging platforming courses, intricate puzzles, or scenic environments with ease.
Create Your Own World
With a simple yet powerful drag-and-drop level editor, you can construct your own landscapes using a variety of tiles and interactive elements. Place platforms, hazards, and mechanics to create thrilling obstacle courses, or design a peaceful environment for players to explore. The editor provides unlimited possibilities, allowing for pixel-perfect precision and total creative freedom.
Instant Play & Seamless Sharing
Once your map is complete, jump right in and test your creation. Every design is instantly playable, ensuring smooth transitions between editing and gameplay. Want to share your level? Each map comes with a unique shareable ID, letting other players experience your creation at any time. There’s no multiplayer—just you, your creativity, and an endless library of community-made challenges.
Dynamic Game Mechanics
Megalia’s core gameplay revolves around platforming, physics interactions, and creative problem-solving. Run, jump, and navigate obstacles using fluid player movement and responsive controls. With each update, new interactive objects and mechanics will expand what’s possible, allowing for even greater depth in level design.
A Growing Vision
Currently in its v0.0.1a pre-classic stage, Megalia is laying the foundation for what’s to come. As development progresses, expect more tiles, entities, customization options, and new gameplay elements to enhance both the building and playing experience.
Whether you're crafting the ultimate challenge or simply experimenting with design, Megalia offers a limitless sandbox where every level is a new adventure.
NOTE: This game uses .mgm (Megalia Map) files. In order to have this file display the title of your map, click on the file and open it on a note app. Scroll down to the bottom of the map code, and you'll see "(Change this to your world name)." Go ahead and change it to whatever you'd like. Do the same thing to the .mgm file name itself (It doesn't do anything, but it's recommended to not mix things up). DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE, AS IT BREAKS THE MAP, AND CAN NO LONGER BE PLAYABLE!
